With an unprecedented press conference held the most senior justices of supreme court on January 13, complaining about the act of the chief justice of India Dipak Misra and the issues bothering the judicial administration of the supreme court, the bar council of India assured that this matter will be sorted out at the earliest.
Today, the CJI called on the rebelled Justices Jasti Chelameswar, Ranjan Gogoi, Madan B. Lokur and Kurian Joseph in his official chamber and held discussion to cool down the situation, which lasted for 15 minutes and the sources said this discussion will continue of Jan 17 also.
The Justices had anguish about the recent judicial orders and an erosion in the judicial independence of the Supreme Court. Their efforts to convince the CJI to take corrective measures failed, forcing them to go public. Attorney General venugopal said that this issue will cleared in a couple of days.
