Tamma Suryanaryana Sastry, a former professor of Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU), has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the University, who is now currently professor of law at the Savitribai Phule Pune University.
The Governor of Tamil Nadu had appointed him for a tenure of three years from the date of his assumption of office. Tamma Suryanaryana Sastry has authored 60 research publications and four books on law with 29 years of experience in the academic profession.
Sastry served as professor for three years between March 2006 and April 2009 at the TNDALU after serving as lecturer and reader at Pondicherry University from 1988 to 2006. His interests include international law, human rights, private international law, international economic law, research methodology in law, constitutional law, IPR and global justice.
