Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), Tamil Nadu, would build houses for the two Pulwama martyrs from the State – G. Subramanian from Thoothukudi and C. Sivachandran from Ariyalur district.
CREDAI has already announced that it would build houses for all the 48 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who were killed in the terror attack at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir a few months ago.
CREDAI-Tamil Nadu will build the houses for the two martyrs from Tamil Nadu. “We have already raised funds and also identified sites for the houses,” CREDAI office-bearers said at the investiture ceremony of office-bearers of its Tamil Nadu chapter here on Thursday.
S.Sridharan and V. Gouthaman took over as chairman and president, respectively, of CREDAI, Tamil Nadu. S.Krishnan, Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development; Rajesh Lakhoni, Principal Secretary and Member Secretary, CMDA, and Commissioner, Directorate of Town and Country Planning; and N.Ravichandran, Corporation Commissioner, were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gouthaman urged the State government to introduce a single window clearance system for all building plan approvals in view of the introduction of Common Building Development Rules. He also suggested delegation of powers to the Local Planning Authority for granting approval to special buildings.
