Resolving to take serious note of child rights violations, national commission for protection of child rights (NCPCR) has said that it will hold sittings in 727 districts in the country in the first phase to provide solutions.
“In the first phase, the sittings will be held in 727 selected districts starting from June 21. The objective of the bench is to receive complaints with regard to the violation of child rights and to ensure the child gets solution immediately,” commission member Dr R G Anand told reporters here on Friday.
In Tamil Nadu, the sitting would be held at Ramanathapuram on June 21 to hear complaints from Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, Kanyakumari, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Pudukottai, Sivagangai, Dindigul, Tuticorin and Theni.
Complaints against any violation could be reported to the commission on the date of the sitting. The complainant would be given audience and allowed to represent the matter before the bench which would give its decision for redressal of the grievance and recommend further action to the authority concerned.
