Trichy Childline1098 Collab created awareness among the school children in Government aided Primary school in Bichandarkoil of Manachanallur Block of Trichirapalli District about good touch and bad touch and team member Social work counselor said “For children, “good” touch is touch that cares for them, that is necessary for their health or safety, or makes them feel safe, or is fun. “Bad” touch is any touch that they don’t want or makes them feel scared, or any secret touch, or any touch on their genitals or bottom, unless it’s necessary for their health. The differences between safe and unsafe touch are important to parents and teachers when it comes to their children, especially young kids who are in elementary and middle schools. It’s also important to teach adults that we have the primary responsibility for keeping children safe.
