A hunger strike was held yesterday on behalf of the Trichy District Nursery and primary School Federation. Teachers at a private nursery and primary school campus in Trichy Varaganeri took part in the protest. Similarly, in the nursery and primary school complex in Krishnanamurthy in Trichy KK Nagar, Asiri has also been involved in the hunger strike. As many as 4,000 teachers from 282 nursery and primary schools across the district, including Lalgudi and Musiri, went on hunger strike yesterday in protest.
