Cantonment police have arrested a gang of 4 people who were involved in a Robbery gang in Trichy.
Sivagnanam (35), a car driver from Chethurapatti, Ariyawau, Trichy district. On the night of the 26th, a gang of 4 men near the Aristo flyover found Rs. 2500 was extorted. Venkatesh (28), a resident of Thiruverumbur, was the only one caught when the police went to the spot to lodge a complaint with the cantonment police. The other three escaped.
Following this, the police arrested Nagaraj (28) from Sivagangai, Trichy Karumandam Babu (27) and Arumugam (28) from Nagamangalam on the 28th and remanded them in custody.
