Permission has been granted to certain private hospitals to treat the infection. Insurance scheme is also in place in such licensed hospitals.
According to a press release issued by District Collector Sivarasu, permission has been granted to certain hospitals to treat corona infections. Admitted hospitals should be provided free treatment through the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Medicare Scheme.
Those who do not have the Chief Minister’s comprehensive medical insurance plan can contact the district administration.
There have also been complaints that various private hospitals are refusing to allow a Medicare plan.
Action will be taken against such violating hospitals. Patients should be offered free medical care through an insurance plan. Failure to do so means the patients maycomplaint to 104 or 1800 425 3993.
